Role Overview

This role combines the responsibilities of PA recruitment coordination and independent living support to ensure that individuals who require care have access to well-matched Personal Assistants (PAs) while also receiving high-quality advice on independent living solutions.

As part of the Direct Payments support service, you will coordinate recruitment opportunities, build and maintain a pool of PA candidates, and work with local stakeholders to promote the role. You will also provide specialist advice and support to individuals considering Self-Directed Support Schemes, Independent Living Schemes, Personal Health Budgets, and self-funded/private care options.

This is a remote role with occasional community engagement across the Wirral, requiring a proactive individual who can effectively support both PA recruitment and individuals seeking independence.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Assistant (PA) Recruitment & Coordination

  • PA Pool Management: Maintain and oversee the Personal Assistant (PA) pool via the Talentvine Portal.
  • Candidate Sourcing & Matching: Identify and attract candidates for PA roles, supporting individual employers in finding the right match.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop relationships with Wirral Council, Jobcentre Plus, job coaches, health and social care providers, and employability partners.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Work with the in-house Marketing team to promote PA roles via social media, career fairs, and community engagement activities.
  • Targeted Recruitment Strategies: Utilize job boards, professional networks, and direct outreach to source high-quality candidates.

Independent Living Support & Advice

  • Providing Specialist Support: Offer guidance to individuals (including children and adults with disabilities) on Self-Directed Support, Independent Living Schemes, Personal Health Budgets, and private/self-funded care options.
  • Customer-Centered Support: Conduct remote assessments and arrange home visits as needed to ensure individuals receive the appropriate support for independent living.
  • Collaboration with Professionals: Engage with Health & Social Care professionals to provide tailored advice to eligible individuals.
  • Advocacy & Empowerment: Help individuals navigate care options, ensuring they understand their rights and the benefits available to them.

Requirements

  • Background in social care, recruitment, or independent living support is desirable.
  • Ability to work remotely with occasional travel across the Wirral for community engagement.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence in using digital platforms for recruitment and support services.
  • Passion for empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and ensuring they have access to the right support.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in recruitment and/or social care who wants to make a meaningful impact in the community by both helping individuals access independent living solutions and ensuring they have the right PA support.
